About DARKFIELD
DARKFIELD creates immersive audio experiences inside custom-built shipping containers. Using binaural sound, complete darkness and meticulously designed environments, DARKFIELD places audiences at the center of intense, atmospheric stories. After successful seasons around the world, DARKFIELD is coming to AREA15 in Las Vegas for an extended run.
About Realscape
Realscape Productions produces, tours and operates multisensory experiences: work you step inside rather than watch from a seat. Since 2017, we've put audiences inside the work in shipping containers, the backs of 40-foot trucks, festival sites and theaters across Australia, the US, Canada and New Zealand, handling everything that gets a show in front of an audience: production, touring, operations and marketing.
About the role
Experience Guides are the face of DARKFIELD: the people who welcome each audience, set the tone, and send them into the dark.
You will greet and brief guests, run them in and out of the container, check their headphones, reset the space between sessions, and keep your area safe, clean and on time. You will help every audience feel looked after before they enter the experience and supported when they come out.
This is a warm, positive, people-first role. You are confident talking to a group, calm when something needs solving, and genuinely good with guests. No technical background is needed; full training is provided on everything you will operate.
This role suits someone who enjoys working with people, likes being part of a close team, and wants to help deliver one of the most distinctive experiences in Las Vegas.
A day in the life
You welcome each group, give a clear and confident briefing, check headphones, and send guests into the dark. Between sessions, you reset your container, keep the space looking sharp, and make sure the next audience walks into a flawless show.
When someone needs a hand, you are the calm, friendly face who helps.
What you'll do
- Welcome and brief each audience, setting the tone for the experience.
- Run guests in and out of the container smoothly and safely.
- Check headphones before every show, including left and right audio checks.
- Reset your container between sessions so every audience walks into a clean, ready and consistent show.
- Monitor your area in person and on camera, keeping it safe, clean and presentable.
- Support guest questions, access needs and concerns warmly and professionally.
- Escalate larger guest, safety or technical issues to your Experience Duty Manager.
- Complete simple show reports, attendance counts and session checks.
- Follow safety, blackout, emergency and show-stop procedures.
- Carry out basic troubleshooting, such as a headphone swap or flagging a light leak. Full training is provided.
- Help with opening, closing, resets and other duties reasonably required to run the site.
What we're looking for
- A warm, confident communicator who enjoys talking to people.
- Someone who can hold a room and give clear instructions to a group.
- Reliable, punctual and a genuine team player.
- Comfortable in a busy, public-facing environment.
- Calm and practical when something does not go to plan.
- Happy to learn our show systems and follow clear procedures. Full training is provided.
- Customer service, hospitality, events, attractions, retail, theater or performance experience is welcome, but not essential.
Nice to have
- Experience in attractions, immersive experiences, events, theater, hospitality, retail or guest services.
- First aid training.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
Eligibility
- You must be 18 or over and eligible to work in the United States, including completion of Form I-9.
- Offers are subject to a background check.
Physical and environmental requirements
This role requires the ability to stand and walk for the full shift and move continuously around the site; lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs independently; bend, stoop, reach and kneel as part of daily operations; work outdoors in Las Vegas weather conditions, including extreme desert heat, direct sun and UV, high winds and seasonal monsoon weather; work in low light or darkness and in enclosed or crowded spaces; and tolerate theatrical effects including flashing lights, and loud or sudden sound.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Pay, training and perks
$18 to $20 per hour, depending on experience.
This is a seasonal, at-will, hourly, non-exempt role with variable shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Paid training is provided.
Perks include complimentary and discounted tickets, a supportive team environment, and priority consideration for future DARKFIELD seasons and Realscape Productions tours. Paid leave and other benefits will be provided where required by applicable law.
